Gallery: Shazar's Yechidus in 5726
On Yud Gimmel Av 5726, President Shazar had a historic Yechidus with the Rebbe. This would be the first Yechidus he would have, after being elected president of Israel. Much pressure was placed on Shazar to have the Rebbe go and meet the president, rather than the president needing to travel to the Rebbe. Shazar then said, "a Chossid must travel to his Rebbe, not vice-versa.
